IMAGES OF WORK FROM DISTRICT ART SHOW
Go to this page to view images from students work from the district art show. Please note that I am still working on getting all of the images on this page. This is a great page to show relatives who might not be able to get to the show to see your work.

This work was done by a grad. student at CU. She was an assistant for Cristina Cordova. I met her at Penland this summer when I took a class from Cristina. This was a great show! This student is working under Kurt Weiser. Look at his work, it is amazing. You can tell that her professor is interested in imagery. These were some of my favorite pieces at the show.
This was an amazing piece. It really catches the emotion of the child. The dress is an actual dress.

Pod Sculptures/WORK IN PROGRESS
WORKS IN PROGRESS/POD PROJECT
Students were asked to create an organic form using clay. References were required in order to create the sculpture. Students used stoneware clay and the pinch pod technique in order to create their forms.
Sketches were created and each student went to the welding dept. with their designs for the armature for their sculpture.
Students were given the option of cold finish, raku, cone 10 reduction, or saggar as a finishing technique.
